Antiwork

I took a job as a tutor and I’ve never been happier.

I posted here around a year ago saying how I quit my old job because the boss insisted I stay in and I missed the D&D game that I run (and had been running for a year) so I walked out. Long time passes, in and out of shitty jobs and doing freelance work. Some how I end up as a tutor and now I am training to be a fully qualified teacher. I am helping kids who are in foster/orphan/state care and those who have extra needs, autism, ESL, behavioural issues. And it is the best way I could be spending my time working. All of the tutors I teach alongside are very anti-work and anti-establishment. We are all basically aged punks and weirdos who are from fucked up backgrounds and we are helping people when the system fucked us in the same way. And thats' what it…

And thats' what it is about, helping people, the organisation I work at isnt a for-profit company. It's just about helping kids.

Anyway. I am rambling

TL:DR quit a regular job and told myself I would never go back to a meaningless, money driven, job, ever. So far, so good.
