i used to be a landlord but sold the flat. the rent went from £450 to £625

I am a cleaner on minimum wage, stayed with my folks to same money to get a cheap flat and get some passive income. I done it for a few years but it's not for me. I let the place for £450 pcm and the person I sold it to said he would easily get £625 pcm. I thought my price was on the high end but the letting agent assured me that was average for a 3 bed in that area. The point I'm making is how the fuck are people supposed to live with that much of an increase and I assume it will go up year on year.
