So I work for a popular grocery train in my area. I am an assistant manager for one of the departments.

Yesterday I was told I’m being moved to another store next starting next week. The store is twice as big and the department is in deep sh*t. Apparently I’m the only one in the area who has the minimal experience to do it. I told them I definitely don’t want to do that. Not in the slightest. I don’t want to be a manager of any department and I like where I’m at. They said it was a done deal.

I never wanted to work in a grocery store. It was always just a job. But as the years past I needed a source of income. So I stayed. After college any hopes of following my dreams faded away. But now I’m faced with literally the biggest decision of my life. I texted a friend briefly about the idea of starting our own business in line with what we want to do. He was interested and we have plans to discuss it further this weekend.

I am ready to quite and attempt to chase my dreams. At the advice of Jim Carrey; “You can fail at what you don't want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.”
