I was laid off on April Fool’s Day

COVID hit and as an IT Support Engineer (at the time) I pulled nights and weekends for weeks to make sure we were on top of all of the WFH support that this new situation generated. This was for an IT Recruiting firm and I made lots of good friends on the recruiting floor during our time in the office. Within two months I had my first real IT Engineering job making over 50% more than I'd ever made. A year goes by and I quit for 10k more for a MUCH better job.

Just because I landed on my feet doesn't mean my former boss wasn't a weak-willed moron who let me go in the most disrespectful and undeserved manner.
