I was let go from my job for not being “happy enough”

So to preface this, I had worked for the company for 1 year and 11 months and had never had a complaint about my work, yet I was often told I didn’t smile enough. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago and I was taken into a meeting room where I was told by my line director that they wanted someone who was more “enthusiastic about the role” and wanted someone who would “smile more”. On my way out of the building I told her “you can go and fuck your self”. It turns out that this was purely a personal decision and not a business one as she herself resigned a few days later and the managing director of the business has been quoted as saying “maybe letting her get rid of [me] was a bad idea” But unfortunately for them I landed on my feet and found a job…
