ive been working at this place for around a year and a half now and im completely fed up with it. landed a new job working with one of my best friends and the owner of this place is a literal angel who constantly raises the wages of his employees as the company makes more money and has the utmost respect for them and this guy told me that i could start working whenever im ready to, so instead of putting in my two weeks at my current job i am just going to not show up tomorrow and go into my new job monday. im a little worried how this might affect future employment should future companies call this place, however on my resume i have a past manager listed who ended up becoming a good friend of mine so im assuming that dude is the one whos gonna get the calls asking what kinda employee i am and not the business phone for my previous job. im also a little nervous about ghosting them because i have never done something this bold to stand up for myself and there are a few guys there who i do respect and have no ill feelings toward and i feel bad leaving knowing they will have to bust ass even harder for no actual reward because of my absence, but as far as im concerned that is the fault of the company who makes me hate working there so much that i feel like just not showing up and not even clearly stating that im quitting is a necessary thing to do. sorry if this reads like incoherent rambling, just felt like this is the best place to lay out my feelings on this.
