I don’t know about you, but where I’m from (Southeast Asia), most companies will state in their contracts that if your family members passed, you’d have only 3 days of “compassionate leave” to mourn, and 1 day if they’re your grandparents. Recently I went for a job interview and I read through the contract, where the boss even elaborated and in my head i’m thinking to myself, this can’t be serious? How do these people who’ve worked for decades, just simply go back to work? Losing a loved one is just too much
Literally what the fuck is this logic? How do you expect ANY human being to come back to work 3 days later and act like everything is fine? I’m not even joking, if that ever happened to me, I’d just leave my job and never return.
