I’ve been a Sr. Deli clerk for about 3 1/2 years and I’ve been apart of 2 grand opening’s for this store. We are short staffed constantly so I fill in wherever we need help and have to take over being the deli manager when mine goes home. I’m always complimented with how well I do in the department yet every time an assistant position has been available it’s been given to a new hire. Then a couple months ago I decided I wanted to move to Tacoma to be closer to family. After my store manager heard about that he told me they were planning on promoting me but if I wasn’t staying then they weren’t going to. It’s not even a guarantee that I’m going to be moving it’s more that I just really want to. So for them to try and dangle a baby carrot in front of me like that just makes me even more sick to work here.
