a lot of people have been requesting off lately because of spring break coming up, and the management is pretty stressed with St. Patrick’s Day coming up. I requested off for spring break almost 2 months ago, and he said just last week that he is not accommodating for any call offs or request offs until March 22nd (that’s including those who have already called off). he says that we are “replaceable” and if we don’t comply, we won’t be on future schedules…. i, along with a few other coworkers who requested off early, already had my tickets and travel plans in place. we were initially approved!!! also, we are living in a pandemic!! how is he not tolerating call offs if people are sick??? the majority of his staff are also college students going through midterms. i am a college student, and this job, in the grand scheme of things, really means nothing to me. i’m still going on my trip, and if he wants to replace the server that makes him the most money, then so be it!! ridiculous!
