my schedule functions off of me working rotating saturdays and on those weeks, I get one day off in the pay week and sunday. because of the saturday hours they also leave 2 hours off of our clock that we have to make up if we want the extra money.
they just announced that we will be changing and cutting two more hours off of saturdays but instead of us having the option to make up hours by voluntarily coming in on an off day, staying late/coming early, or taking a short lunch, we will be required to work a half day on our day off. this leaves us with one half day during the week, which I honestly feel like we will get guilted into staying for the full day by management, the half day on the saturday that we work, and then the full day sunday off.
that means every other week until god knows when, I will work six consecutive days.
this is sitting so wrong with me because I understand I took the job voluntarily working rotating saturdays, but I think its ridiculous to make me come in for 2 four hour shifts every other week now? am I wrong for wanting to put in my two weeks tomorrow? I already struggle with my mental health and feel it’s hard enough to get things done having a tuesday and sunday off every other week. I feel like this is going to be so detrimental to me on top of how taxing the job itself already is. i’m just so fed up
