I was hired by the company through a temp agency. I worked hard and learned the trade thinking if I work hard enough the company will be interested in hiring me. I was wrong. The company wanted to keep me as a temp to save money.
I kept the department going when everyone was out sick and worked on company holidays which I was normal pay for me. My boss is a great guy but didn’t have the authority to hire me directly.
Upper management was thinking only in the short term. I could have been a great long term employee but this motivated me and found a job that pays double than what I’m making now.
I guess it turned out better for me in the end. I’m moving on.
