I Quit Walmart

For six months, I performed as a team lead with little training, and no support from my coworkers or supervisors. I was expected to know everything and was thusly yelled at because I didn’t know— I was never taught even the most basic things. The place was a circus, and after a while I transferred to the front end; not only did they reject my vacation time for an end-of-life celebration for my grandmother (I called out for this event! They also denied my religious observance request while granting my coworker vacation time. I gave that company every f*cking thing I had, came in every day with a great attitude and ready to get to work. Everything they asked of me, I would do, but the disrespect I faced from the people who were supposed to help me wore me down. I finally had enough and got a better job.…

Everything they asked of me, I would do, but the disrespect I faced from the people who were supposed to help me wore me down. I finally had enough and got a better job. Less money, but that’s only starting off with better opportunities.

I screwed them like they screwed me, every single day for six months. Called in for the next two days, trashed my old uniform, blocked every single number of my coworkers and left my work phone on its charger in the office. It’s over.

F*ck you, Walmart.
