I wouldn’t even mind long hours and wage theft if companies were smaller and bosses were nicer.

Does anyone else feel this way? I would really love to work for a company that’s local to my area. I would feel pride knowing the work that I do is a benefit to my local community. I would love to work under a boss that is also a local business owner. I wouldn’t mind having to come in early, stay late, or even do some unpaid work if I ever had a boss that, oh I dunno, wasn’t a complete and total dickhead who acted their low wage workers were prisoners on Alcatraz. Every job is awful coworkers from other cities, absolutely dreadful middle management bosses from even further away, all working under corporate people from a huge city that fly out to judge you once a year. I just want a job that helps my community where the people treat me with basic respect and dignity. Why is…
