I wouldn’t let them work me to death

This intense vertigo has come out of nowhere lately. On my way to work it stopped me in my tracks in the middle of the street (mind you this is Manhattan). My head was spinning lightning speed and I couldn’t walk. I tried to do the American thing and power through this shit. I clock into work but about 5 minutes later I decide to clock right back out and go to the emergency room—I had to listen to my body so I wouldn’t fucking collapse at work and have these people not even care about me or my health anyway. Because I knew my manager would say things like “I don’t care if you’re sick, you’re not working hard enough” every 5 minutes. I refused to be gaslit for 6 hours. And if I return there I’m gonna have to hear their shit. I kept my discharge papers just…

Even though I only started a few weeks ago I might just quit.
