I was gone from work for 11 days because of Covid. Today was my return date and I felt fine. To be sure, I took an at home test but I tested “positive”.
I immediately texted my boss to see what he wanted me to do. I didn’t hear back so I headed to work. He responded to me to stay home but I was already on my way. I asked if he wanted me to come in and work until he could get someone to replace me. He said “yes” because he couldn’t get anyone to text him back.
An hour after I get there, the manager tells me that corporate said that as long as I feel well, I can work. The DM said, “You can still test positive 3 months later.” That’s the first I’ve ever heard that.
I just said, “Welp, if anyone gets sick, it’s on you.”
