I just received a job offer. I read through the contract and it had some of the following:
– If I get blamed for another employee choosing to quit, I could be personally fined for 2 months of wages…
– I'm not allowed to do the same line of work anywhere else without their permission. This includes me working independently on the side, out of my home.
– If a client comes to me for work outside of the business, I agree to pay $1000 fee per client, plus 50% of what they pay me, for two years. And I hand over rights to all my finances to allow them to confirm.
The most ridiculous thing I've ever seen.
