If Reagan didn’t allow buybacks again in the 80s, we wouldn’t have such a large wage/job crisis like we do now.

Companies were too afraid to allow buybacks until the 80s. Now they are allowed and that’s the reason large companies are not raising wages for workers. They focus their profits towards benefiting the stock investors.
