If the financial success of your business rests on the amount you pay for payroll, you shouldn’t be in business

I get it, payroll can be more variable from month to month than rent/other overhead expenses. But if getting rid of an employee making $8/hour and not replacing them actually helps your business's financial bottom line, then you're fucked and shouldn't be in business. The sign of a good company is one who pays you a good wage and doesn't try and nickel and dime you every paycheck. Or pay you late. $320/week may be a lot to a worker, but it shouldn't be to someone with an actual business.
