Then explain to me why when one employee calls off, his/her/their hourly wages are not then divided among the crew members who DO show up to work? Wouldn’t that be fair? I mean, the employer saves money by not paying that wage all day, and the remaining employees have to pick up the slack. Wouldn’t it be fair to divide the wage among those who are running your business and working harder due to absence? 🤨
