“If you don’t stop recording, I will quit this meeting”

Those were my words yesterday during a work meeting, turns out another employee felt the need to record a meeting without my consent. After explaining politely that I didn't felt comfortable with the recording she was still insisting to continue, so I told her that I would quit if she didn't stop, she eventually stopped recording and the meeting continued as normal. I'm aware my employers can now fire me as a result, but demand for good programmers is high and I never felt better at exercising my rights to privacy.
