I put in my 2 weeks yesterday because I found a new job that I’ll enjoy more and get paid more (currently getting paid $13/hr going to be a hostess making $15-$20hr). Today I came in and mentioned that I didn’t like the way the new assistant manager talks to people and he also had a little argument with a coworker for the same thing. We both get pulled aside and told that we should respect him because he’s been here longer and he knows more. Now, I don’t have an personal issues with the guy because I don’t think he’s a bad guy I just don’t like that he talks to us without any sort of tact or respect. We’re told “if you don’t wanna be part of this team you can go ahead and clock out.” So I texted my new manager to see if I can start next week and she said yes so I told them I was just finishing out the day. I’ve made good friends here and I’ll miss them but I don’t tolerate disrespect and don’t threaten me to clock out the day I put in my 2 weeks because I will call you bluff.
