We are busy on a project that starts next week.
I am meant to be training someone to help me, which i have been doing, but this is the first time i handling a project like this and this guy is just as overwhelmed as I am, so I did the prep work and walked him through it all.
My manager asked my why I am not letting him help me with the prep work and I said because I know what is going on and I'd rather show him as I go step by step than him prep stuff and well.. too many cooks spoil the broth.
She then said to me: “If you dropped dead tomorrow, would he know what to do?”
I feel like resigning, am I overreacting?
