If you get fired from a company, it’s not the end of the world people. One single Company is not the center of the universe, if they use a bogus tactic to threaten you it’s already toxic environment.

I have an employer from Speedway told me: If I fire you, I put you on company as “un-hirable” and nobody wants to hire you. This threat is baseless on other companies willing to hire anyone and employers to forgo what you've done on other companies. What they want is skilled, experienced, and willing to do the job in their environment the only reason they won't hire you if you did something illegal or that company is a parent company of the company you applied. Do not get suckered into this meaningless threat and I hope someone from within Speedway which at this point 7/11 sees this and tell all their management to stop using this baseless and useless threats of so-called “un-hirable.” Speedway is a gas station company that is now owned by 7Eleven. 7Eleven is another worse company to work with their own toxic environment and making their…

Speedway is a gas station company that is now owned by 7Eleven. 7Eleven is another worse company to work with their own toxic environment and making their employees worked 4x harder not even keeping the store clean, maintain, and positive is good enough when they add in more ridiculous work that is impossible to keep. When I was working at Speedway I have tremendous other tasks besides sweeping, mopping, roller grills, trash emptied, sandwich bar, donut box, fountain drinks, walk-in freezer, restroom, gas pumps, ID people (Reward Cards), ID people (Alcohol & Tobacco), outside bins, outside station trash free “lot”, and many more because the company send their own inspector every month on random days to make sure all employees are performing said tasks. The fact that companies love to add more work from our other work is the reason why I worked my butts off to save-up money and later quit because it's getting too ridiculous for me to handle which I always tell new hires who have worked at my station to “watch out, don't steal, and don't do anything stupid because they're watching us 24/7. If you don't like working here, you're only two option is quit or save-up.”

Edit:

  • This job is terrible
  • You work by yourself
  • Long hours (More money)
  • Expected to do more work from your numerous tasks.

If you are doing this do this for money and quit.

I did exactly what I said, worked my butts off, got enough money saved, and I quit working at speedway last year right when 7Eleven starts incorporating their product into Speedway. Oh yeah! If you're buying alcohol or tobacco products and the cashier asked you for your ID just fucking show your ID some states are strict and Speedway / 7Eleven actually do send secret shoppers to make sure employees are asking for ID. DO NOT MAKE THE CASHIER'S LIFE ANY HARDER! IF A CASHIER ASKED FOR AN ID IT'S NOT A RACISTS THING YOU ASS FUCKS!
