I’ll be moving from contact to full-time soon, what do I say when they ask about starting salary?

I expect this has been asked before but my situation might be different. I've been working as a contractor (40hr/w) at Company for 6 months. My contract is about to end for the second time and my boss finally got approval to hire someone (me!). I don't know if I'll be taking on more responsibility (I'll ask during the interview) but I'm fairly certain that my pay will increase as I move from hourly to salary. This is the best job I've had. My boss is great, my coworkers are great, and there are opportunities to move throughout the company. Even the contract pay is good. Despite that, I want to make sure I'm paid my worth, especially if I get more responsibilities. I don't know know how to figure out my worth to the company. Details:
I have a bachelor's in chemistry and work as a lab tech in a research facility (oil/gas industry).
Contact pay: $22/hr
Expected pay: ~$60,000
