Illegal contracts or policies?

Hi all, I hope it's okay that I post this here. I am looking for examples of illegal work contracts or work policies (even managerial behavior) – something systemic to a company. Something that a lawyer could use. and I'll explain: My best friend used to work as a courier and one day I took him to the hospital after he got into an accident. While we were there, he was having a full blown fight with his manager on the phone. His manager was a douche and told him that if he doesn't work the morning shift the next day, he'll lose his job. A guy sitting nearby heard us and told my friend that he has a legal claim. He helped him leave the job WITH COMPENSATION because he threatened the company with a lawsuit. ​ I love this guy and what he did to my friend. Now…

I love this guy and what he did to my friend. Now my friend and I are trying to find more examples of employee abuse. we want that guy to push back on the corporate bullies 😀
