My employer distributed performance/profit sharing bonuses in the beginning of July. My boss (GM) was given approval by the owner after going over reports/numbers. Well, now the owners son who has no ownership in the company and is paid as an independent contractor as a consultant feels the
company didn't profit enough and wants us to pay the bonuses back. He has convinced his father that we need to reimburse the company.
Is this legal? We are a small restoration company in Wisconsin and I can only find clawback laws based on hiring bonuses, etc..
