I’m 35 and my mom said I have to work hard my whole life.

I'm a single mom with 3 kids and stopped having kids at 25. I went to online college part time literally breastfeeding in my class. I got a graduate degree in 2018. I bought my house with my now ex-husband back in 2010. I kept house in divorce. My loan offers were up the wahoo, but I settled for a small fixer upper in which I only pay 525 a month. I choose to not work like a dog just so I can lose all my government benefits. I have a higher paying job and am self employed. It's big enough for me and my kids. We don't buy a bunch of shit we don't need. I don't make enough money to pay off my student loans. I don't make that much money. I choose to not work like a dog just so I can lose all my government benefits. I have a higher paying job and am self employed. My mom said I have to work really hard my whole life just to make ends meet. That was her experience. I also know she didn't have an opportunity to go to school. I also know I have surpassed her in success. I choose to not work for the man all the time and spend time with my family. I have a little extra spending money. The reason why I'm in this position is from my risk taking personality and my frugal common sense living. And never getting a credit card. I feel like I have earned to work less despite my ability to make a lot more, however, my kids happiness is more important as well as having freedom
