Im a FD trainee at an hotel and ive been put in security office

Ive arrived 5 days ago, first days i was in front desk doing what i was supposed to , but now theyre using me to cover some lack of staff and im basically the hotel security and i need to control access the premise. Is this even legal ? What should i do ? Oh and btw i wasn’t given any training whatsoever.
