I work at a VV@lmart in the south. I’ve only been at this job for 3 months, and already I can’t stand it. My main role is to patrol the floor and keep an eye on anyone possibly stealing….
I don’t.
It’s not that I am lazy about my job. It’s more for the fact that I’m in a low-income area and money is tight for everyone. I ain’t no snitch, people have mouths to feed. I’m also a smaller human being with no weapon. And an even bigger factor: I outright REFUSE to help a company keep their profits when they cut their employees’ hours, treat them like garbage, deny them basic rights like sitting, and screw over any employees working full time.
I’ve been trying to find a job closer to my skill set in graphic design that gets me off my feet. Hell, I’ve been trying to find any job that pays over 15/hr. I was told if I become an armed guard I could get a raise of 14/hr. 14 dollars an hour….To carry a lethal weapon inside a Walmart. Fuck no.
