So I work in an alcohol department and part of my job is “facing” everything, meaning pulling bottles up to the front of the shelf, so everything looks nice. I'm not good at explaining things, but I hope I got the point across
Anyway, I just got a message from a coworker telling me my manager is gonna talk to me tomorrow because nothing was faced from when I closed last night. Now I'm one of those people that also wants everything to look nice and aligned, so I'm constantly facing shit throughout my shift and my manager constantly sees me do it. So, I know for a FACT I went through the aisles at LEAST 10 times last night when it was slow and faced everything. My manager and I get along really well and he literally always compliments me on my closing night work (facing included) when I come to work, so I'm just kind of offended at this point. I feel like I should start taking photos/videos of the department when I close because this is honestly bullshit. I'm not sure what happened after I left, but the closing manager (from up front/customer service) was in there when I left for the night. What do I say to my manager tomorrow?
