I’m about to have to greatly decrease my quality of job to afford life.

I wanna start this by saying I don’t think less of people who work in gas stations by any means. I worked at one in college and worked all of kinds of odd jobs. Everyone is just trying to pay their bills. What’s bothering me is I am currently sitting in my car outside my office in almost tears because I can no longer afford to work this job that I took multiple state exams for, went to class for and got fingerprinted for. They won’t raise the wages to match inflation (my boss literally said when I wanted something when I was younger I got a second job) and my husband and I (who also works a job that requires a good bit of certification) are nearing eviction with our kids. The gas station down the road is offering $4 more an hour if I work overnights and the…

I just can’t believe it’s come to this I worked so hard to get here to end up back at the same job I had fresh out of high school.
