Trade worker here ,in the middle of the “pull your bootstraps up” demographic.
Trade work isn't easy and the pay is supposed to be worth the extra labor intensive work. However it's not . My wife gets payed more than I do working customer service. The last straw was last Friday. I was running a 100° fever because I couldn't call out due to a deadline for a job , my boss agreed I'd be able to leave early due to feeling ill as soon as my job finished. NOPE motherfucker flipped switches mid shift and said you can finish the day out. I'm done my health is not worth the companies greedy payday.
