I’m an Emergency room nurse that got fired “for gossiping” during a nursing shortage

I was recently fired for what my ex employer says is gossiping between nurses. For four years I was trained by my employer for my role but I put up with a lot of abuse from doctors, my nurse colleagues and my manager basically gave up. The culture on the unit I use to work for was poison: any complaint, no matter how minimal, was reported as “harassment” and if you happen to not get along with a specific clique, the whole group would try to get you fired. It's like high school politics all over again. I'm now without a job for two months and scratching my head wondering if I made the right choice to become a nurse.
