Not sure if I can share this here, let me know. Just an interesting story.
I work for arguably the biggest tech company in the world in an account management role. I hate my job because it’s so emotionally and mentally draining, and the internal organisation is absolutely terrible. Nobody is held accountable and just stays in their little bubble saying it’s not their problem when something goes wrong. The companies I work with pay money to get premium services which are absolutely garbage. Typical corporate bullshit so I wanted out and was looking for another job already.
I get told this week that my team is being laid off and we are being offered a significant severance package and even a period of 3 months with pay after the team is closed up. Feels so good to know I am basically going to be paid for doing something I was going to do anyway, and although the money won’t put a dent in the company I work for, still feels like I’m screwing them over a bit by taking their money.
Just wanted to share, feeling pretty happy with myself!
