I work my scheduled 40 hours a week but my boss will have me come in early or stay late depending on how lazy he's feeling. At the end of the week he'll have me alter my time to compensate for any shortage overages (i.e if I'm over, he'll have be clock in later) so I never go over 40.
Sometimes in doing that my time sheet will show 39.3 (or roundabout that) hours. Now all of a sudden I'm being told that if I go under the full 40 hours too many times in a year, corporate will take away both my full time status and my benefits.
I bust my ass for this company, and if I've got to live in fear of losing money I'll just go elsewhere.
And companies wonder why nobody wants to work for them…
