I’m getting laid off tomorrow

My company sent an invite to 12 / 30 of my coworkers in my department. How lucky am I to be one of them. The meeting is 15 minutes long tomorrow and you can tell. Not good news. The company is struggling, running huge promotions to get rid of car inventory (I’m a financial manager for a car company). The meeting is for the middle of the day, they really expect me to come in and work??? Nope. They did a big lay off a few months ago in every department but ours. We knew it was coming, but I work so hard, have great performance, it’s probably because my salary is higher than others I work with.? Not too sure. never be loyal to a company because at the end of the day you’re a number. Luckily I’m in a situation where we can survive on my husbands income…

In the meantime till the next job, I will enjoy unemployment & the rest of summer with my 1 year old. Seriously f these companies. Why don’t they (c-level & uppers) take a pay cut if the companies are struggling that much. But no, cut the MUCH NEEDED employees who do all the blood work for you.
