I’m going back to work this Monday after being off for over a month because of a shoulder injury.

Back in February I tripped and fell on ice messing up my shoulder. The injury happened right before my one year anniversary which caused me to use up almost all my vacation because it takes a full year to get FMLA. March 1st was my anniversary. I was able to take short term disability. I also started taking physical therapy later that month because there was no improvement. My Boyfriend works the same shift and place as I do. My Boyfriend works the same shift and place as I do. My manager asked him today about me. He told her that my physical therapist wants me to take it easy and not push myself right away. She replied there's going to be a third person in deburr. I have to go back to picking parts, lifting 20+ lbs sheet metal and pushing up to 100+ lbs of stacked metal on a table right away, unless I have a lifting restriction. I think it's kind of messed up that my manager isn't even considering switching me with one of my coworkers in deburr for the first week or two to see if I can physically lift 20+ lbs and push 100+ lbs for 8 hours. I still need to speak with my physical therapist this Thursday to get an answer but I'm honestly nervous about pushing over 100 lbs right away.
