Hello everyone,
After the Easter holiday, I will be attending a disciplinary meeting for possible dismissal from a job I'm planning to leave next month anyway. The offences they raised were the following:
-
Frequent lateness. However, I have been improving since the disciplinary warning and reduced it by 20% since Feb, still accept that it is not good enough.
-
Private internet usage. The company was monitoring my internet activities at work at all times. Therefore, I have no excuses for that.
-
Not up to the standard quality of work. Apparently, since I joined, I raised more than £100k and caused the company a £1.5k loss from one order mistake. Other mistakes didn't cause any financial losses to the company and were all resolved with the customers.
I already have two job offers lined up with the starting date around early June. Should I plead my case to stay with the current company for a month longer even though I was planning to give them notice to quit next week or should I just accept my fate and part ways with the company?
I'm disappointed with myself for putting myself in this situation and accept all the blame. But I felt disillusioned with working for this company since the start of this year and been regularly depressed with my work and private life, living by myself and rarely getting to see my friends and family. Very homesick. The company has been great to me but I just couldn't get it together for them anymore.
Any advice would be great.
