Antiwork

I’m no longer interested in working for companies so large that I can barely even be considered a stakeholder.

These days, anyone I employ myself under, if they're lucky enough to get my time, is bringing me on to do a specific job yes, but with the explicit expectation that my efforts will directly support company growth, and translate into increased wealth for me beyond simple “fair compensation for services rendered.” My boss is alright, but the minute he stops making me money I'm dropping him. If you want to motivate workers, give them real financial incentives. Otherwise they'll leave you as soon as something better comes along. Unless of course you actually don't care about the well being and loyalty of your employees.
