I’m not calling out either. I work in a gas station, I was promised full time and a sign on bonus, and in the 2 months I’ve worked there I’ve had a single 40 hour week. Yesterday when I went in it was just me and one other person, which is fine no biggie, but I found out that they told the other girl to leave me alone on the register all night and do other stuff, again no biggie normally she would just come help out if I got busy. She didn’t, they told her not to. I haven’t got my sign on bonus, a month after I was supposed to have it, I’m not getting the hours I was promised. Yesterday made me mad but honestly wouldn’t have been an issue if it wasn’t for everything else that’s happened there over the last weeks. I’m engaged, trying to go through school, and living on a couch until my move-in date for my apartment. I can’t keep working this job that isn’t giving me what I was promised. Today I’m not showing up, I’ll call the manager later and tell him some excuse and it’ll be fine. In the meantime, I’m filling out an application for a factory job, not my first pick but guaranteed hours + good pay will do for now. That’s all. I just wanted to rant.
