Manager demands I donate to United Way. I didn’t.

Every year we have a United Way donation drive. Managers are pushed by upper management to get 100% compliance from their department and the company wants 100% compliance from the corporate office for bragging rights or something. I had pushed off the myriad emails to donate and on the deadline day, I am working in another office in the afternoon and won't be back to my desk until after the 4 pm deadline. My manager texts me and says “you owe me $20 – I donated under your name”. Oh HELL no! I made it back around 5 pm and walked right into HR and asked the lady to hand me back “my” donation, which I then walked up and placed on my managers desk. She never said anything about it, but I am pretty certain they knew exactly who didn't donate. haha Also, no 100% compliance for her department.…

If it was that important to her, she could have donated under my name (shifty AF in itself) and never mention it and I would never have known.
