Sales department of the company, world famous brand. Opened the interview with telling me that they are looking for professionals, while:
- The guy was interviewing me from home, but wearing a tank top during the interview.
- The guy asked me a question “Why do I see myself successful at this position” muted the microphone, and as I started giving an answer, he started talking to someone behind the computer, not even looking at the screen. Imagine how hard it is to give an answer to a person, who is not even listening.
- The guy's internet connection was from 1995. Dial up I had back in the days, did work better. And every time I mentioned that while he was saying something and image & sound froze, he was laughing it off, “yeah, my internet connection”.
- Bonus Professionalism: Interview is over. Couple of hours later, the HR of the company(who arranged this interview with this manager) texts me: “Hey. How did it go? What did he tell you?” – Seriously? I should give you a report back on the interview and what did YOUR boss tell me, if i'm hired or not?
I am so tired of all these companies being so unprofessional, that pretend to be so high class – work hard play hard type..
Sometimes I want to contact their HIGHEST manager and tell them the experience I just had with their company.
