I've b!tched so much about my job that I feel like I owe you guys an update on my situation.
I'm finally handing in my 1 month's notice tomorrow! 😀
So, originally, my contract would end in September with no chance of it being extended. They told me back in March that they wanted to let me go earlier because I wasn't “meeting expectations” (Which was fine by me, I didn't mind it as long as they kept me in the loop).
Timeskip 3 month's later and they still haven't found my replacement. Meanwhile, though, I've been looking for jobs and landed a tech support role. It feels like I'm starting over again and back to square one, but I'm so happy :>
The job pays about 30% less than what I'm making now, but prioritizes WFH and carries the same benefits!
The only downside to resigning is that I never told them that I planned to. It's gonna seem so out of the blue loooool And I'm anxious for the next person replacing me, since I won't be there to train them
