Everywhere I go, I hear and see the same signs posted around about how “We're hiring!!” and “Part-time positions available!!”, or my personal favorite “We employ minors 16+!!”(Like it's something to be proud of), and yet I never hear back from any of these places.
They're so desperate for workers who want to work, but they never reach out to anybody who applies. I'm told constantly to call daily, visit in-person, “bug the hell out of them” to show that I'm super serious about working in these places, but why?? Why do I have to beg and plead for a job they posted and then went radio silent about??
I'm so tired of getting the runaround when I've got bills coming up and no way to pay them, and my only hope is a job that apparently nobody's really offering. I'm just left feeling like this is all some sick game I didn't know I was playing.
