I don’t understand what is going on.. these people are just so irritating at this point!
I been working for them for 7 years, and I asked if I can work more because I just cannot live on 24 hours a week anymore.. well they told me that they would see.. so they got someone move over (as I have seniority) the other guy has 3 months working only. So I took that day (3 days is 32 hours) I was happy and good with that.
Well fast forward 2 months later, I was told that I will be going back to 24 hours a week again because that employee does not want to work the other shift anymore, they told me if you can maybe you can talk to that employee and maybe they will grant you those hours and give it to you, at the end its there final say. Are you serious?
They are also hiring 4 new people.
I told them that I will be looking for another job on the side than if they cannot provide me ONE DAY MORE (thats all im asking). They tell me you can’t work somewhere else because we may need you on call some weeks. Im sorry but I need something permanent you cannot expect someone to live on 24 hours a week while you work 40 hours..
I get fed up and tell them listen if you don’t give me 32 hours (one more day permanently) I am finding another job. Im sick and tired of your shit and I think I deserve to ask for one day more after all these years working here (Im the longest employee whos been there).
My manager told me “dont worry about it you will have that extra day, but my supervisor keeps insisting other wise saying we cant give it to you because we have to make sure the other guy is comfortable with his hours (the guy whos been working 3 months)
Now my supervisor is upset because I went to my manager. What the hell?!
