I’m unwell and I’m forced to come in to work

Wanted to know whether my predicament is common corporate practice. I’m a new employee, which means I’m on a three month probation period. I’ll become a permanent employee in another month. According to company policy, I am only entitled to 3 leaves during the entire probation period. Seeing as the number of leaves aren’t a lot, I saved them for sick days. So far, I’ve used two for sick days since I got a pretty bad stomach infection that, despite medicines, usually leaves me in a lot of pain. I only have one more leave left. My workplace doesn’t allow people on probation to have work from home. HR informed me they can’t do much about this policy, it is what it is. Naturally, if I take more than my allotted number of leaves, my pay will be cut and my probation will be extended. Is this common practice?
