Little bit about me, college student needing a summer job, applied for a while, and finally got one at a sandwich place. Everything looked fine on indeed and applied.
Got the interview, was told I would be told if I got the job by the end of the week, this was the beginning of April. I wasn't told I got the job until end of April, and did not start training until end of May. We have been training still till this very day, and have already seen/heard
-my trainer washing and reusing a cardboard cup
-verbal harassments made about me, being said by my trainer to other co-workers
-2 people quit cause they couldn't get enough hours, and the trainer just fired them
-the owner said that pest control was too expensive, so they wouldn't get one before the final inspection
– we are also serving food even though we have not had a final inspection
-was told a month ago I would be paid today, for 3 weeks of work, but when I came in today, they said they have not received the checks.
This is partially a rant, because my parents think that all jobs I can get will be shitty, so this is not that bad, but my gut is telling me different.
Are these conditions enough for me to quit, I have not had a lot of work experience, so I don't know what is typical and what is not normal. Thanks y'all
