Incremental vs Sudden Change in the US

I’m curious if people think incremental vs sudden change will be more effective long term in the US. To clarify I am categorizing a move to $15 or $20 minimum wage from the current level in a single update as incremental change. An example of sudden or abrupt change would be making owning more than one house illegal. I believe incremental change would be the most permanent. Completely turning the system on its head would either cause collapse where no one benefits or the pendulum would swing equally hard in the reverse direction when the party opposing change retook power. Incremental steps I want to see, ideally tomorrow: – at least a $15 minimum wage – UBI – rent control -universal healthcare – 4 day work week – update tax code to remove executive stock bonus incentives and significantly increase taxes on the very highest earners I don’t want people…

Incremental steps I want to see, ideally tomorrow:
– at least a $15 minimum wage
– UBI
– rent control
-universal healthcare
– 4 day work week
– update tax code to remove executive stock bonus incentives and significantly increase taxes on the very highest earners

I don’t want people to include their ideas for incremental change. I was including more examples for context.
