Injured and finally taking a break, all they wanted was labor.

Every time I took time off my boss treated it as if they were helping me out for a day or two. My injury never properly was healing because I worked even in a cam walker boot. I decided a while ago to leave and had my two weeks in when I got hurt again. I tried to work on my injury and finally called my boss telling him I was seeing the doctor and wouldn’t be coming in. Finally getting rest and still have the toxic ingrained guilt of not working and trying to beat it. It took all of that for me to realize I was just a employee number and labor to them. Never trust a job. Quit on the spot if you need to. It’s just an exchange of labor for money. Nothing more. Also always give doctors notes even when they don’t ask. Currently accepting support to help me not feel guilty and take time to rest. Fuck work. Finally shifted the dynamic said I’ll help you out here I can not the other way around. Going to start my own business and rock that way from now on. ️
