Injured and stuck at work, what should I do?

So I’m a store manager at subway, and I absolutely despise this job. I only make $15/hr, but since I’ve gotten here I’ve been saving the store an average of $6k a month in food costs alone which is just profit. I recently fell down a stair case and partially tore a ligament in my ankle, so I’m supposed to be on crutches and I’m on pain meds. I have to work, and I can’t use the crutches in here. They won’t give me another person to work with, and the stress is really starting to mount up. I plan on putting in my two weeks when I find a new job (hopefully asap) but should I even wait that long? And should I let my boss know ahead of time? She’s great (the owners suck) so I don’t want to blindside her.
